CHARM IS DECEITFUL

Proverbs 31:30

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. ’’

If you are a child of God, you are not of this world. Your standard shall be different from the standards of this world.

Lots of people are always looking on the outside. We are so focused on our physical appearances.

As the bible says, charm is deceitful. God is never focused on how a person looks like. He looks inside our hearts. He wants us to prioritize the things that are of Him. We cannot fear God if we don’t know Him.

Knowing God and following His words are the most important things that He wants us to do. He keeps on repeating that He needs us to focus on heavenly things so we can be with Him in eternity. We need to guard our hearts and be careful on our priorities. As what God has said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

A girl who fears the Lord will soon be her husband’s treasure. We should not sacrifice the opportunities that we will know God for worldly pleasures. We should spend more time in seeking for His words rather than focusing on temporary things. We will soon all die. All the things that we did for ourselves, all the things that we bought for ourselves that have nothing to do with our relationship with God will just all be left in this world. People might love us now because we have everything but all these people will forget us when we die. All the things we labored for will just be wasted.

Charm is good but let us concentrate on our relationship with the Lord more.

PRAYER:

Lord, we thank You for Your words. Thank You for the knowledge and understanding that You keep on giving us. Let be reminded that the fear of You will always give us knowledge and understanding. We want to be women and men of God and we want to live our life according to Your plan. Let us be a blessing to many as we share Your plan of salvation to them. Give us enough wisdom so we can share how great You are. Let us focus on You Lord. In Jesus Name’, Amen.
