Proverbs 31:6-8

“Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to those who are bitter of heart. Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.’’

God Himself is called the spring of living water. If we will drink more of Him, we will not perish and the bitterness in our hearts will vanish. We will forget our poverty and our miseries. He is asking us to open our mouth for others to know that life in this world is not about money, not about fame, not about success, but this life is all about serving Him.

When we die, it’s our end. Everything else will be gone. People will forget us. If we chose to live with serving God us our purpose, our death signifies the beginning of our life with Him. It’s not the end but the beginning of the true life that everyone should desire.

Matthew 25:46 “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

God said, “ He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

We should not focus on what this world is offering us. We should always look up and wait on the Lord, do the things that are pleasing to Him and in the end, we will receive the crown of life that He has promised to those who will remain faithful until the end.

Hebrew 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured to the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Lord, we thank you for the moments that You are letting us realize that You are the only One we need. Thank You that we can still feel You in our hearts. Thank you for the hope and the comfort. Thank You for Your words. Thank You that You never left us. Help us to live our lives with You as the reason. Help everyone, most especially our loved ones to feel that serving You is the reason we are here in this world. Hold us in Your hands, O Lord. We need You in our lives. Thank You. We give You all the glory and honor! In Jesus’ Name, we pray! Amen.
