Proverbs 15:-16

“ Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble.’’

God said that it’s so hard for a person who’s rich to enter the kingdom of God. He knows that when people are rich, they will always think about their possessions and prioritize less the things that are of God. He knows that it is impossible for a person to serve two masters; he will love the other and despise the other one. Luke 6:24 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolations.”

Sometimes, we are compromising our relationship with God just to be rich. We will do things that are against God’s will. We are focusing too much in this world that we don’t care if we are hurting God as long as we get what we want. We are sacrificing the peace that is coming from God for great treasures. We always want our wants in life to be met, for us to be satisfied.

God mentioned many times in His words to focus on Him, on heavenly things because He knows that we will be lost if we concentrate more on worldly things. He knows that He will lose us if we focus on this world.

God wants people to serve Him and to worship Him. He did not mention that He wants us to be rich in order to enter the Kingdom of God. He just wants us to obey His commandments. He doesn’t want us to focus on ourselves or focus on the things of this world but He wants us to fix our eyes on Him. He wants us to leave everything and follow Him.

I know that without proper guidance of His words, we will be lost. Because of this, I want each of us to be reminded that if one time, we feel like we want to go on a different direction, let us remind ourselves that Jesus is waiting for us in heaven. He is waiting for us to come home, to spend eternity with us. We j need to wait patiently; and while we do that we need to serve and worship Him. Philippians 3:20 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. ’’

Lord, we know that sometimes we are so weak. The things that this world is offering can easily deceive us. Sometimes we forget that You died for us and You are just waiting for us to come home. Remind us always that we are just pilgrims in this world and we should always focus our minds on the things that are Heavenly. If we are lost or if our loved ones are going in the wrong direction, please guide us and let us see the way that will lead us back to You. Give us enough strength to pass all the tests that we will be coming our way. We want to be with You in eternity. Thank You for Your presence always Lord. Be glorified in our lives. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
