Proverbs 15: 3-4

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. ‘’

The words that are coming out our mouths show the way we think, or the things that we are keeping in our hearts. The things that are in our hearts and minds determine who we are. If we keep on saying words showing perverseness, that means that we are not thinking purely and impurity dwells in our hearts, which will break our spirit and will separate us from God.

God knows everything, even those that are hidden in the very corners of our hearts. He is always warning us to watch out with how we feel and think and the things that are coming out our mouths because He doesn’t want us to be separated from Him. He wants a wholesome tongue because from it will come the tree of life, the words that will give people an everlasting life. If we are telling that we are Christians, it should manifest on the way we speak. 2nd Samuel23:2 “The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue. ‘’

Lord, forgive us if sometimes we utter unnecessary words. Bless our lips that they might only speak about Your love and faithfulness. Let our mouth be an instrument for other people’s salvation. Guard our hearts and minds that they will only be filled with pure things. Lord, we want to be like you, compassionate when speaking. Help us to control ourselves, that we will serve us mirrors for other people and they will follow us just the way we follow You. We thank you and let us speak about how much we love You always.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
